Mueller Family Beginnings: Clara's 19-month survey

**Because I started these surveys late, they're always a month behind. At the time of publishing, Clara is 20 months old, but these are details from month 19**

Monthly Survey

1. How old? 19 months

2. Doctor’s appointments?: November 6^th, her 2-year appointment!

3. Stats:

a. Weight: 29.6lbs (weighed on our scale at home)

b. Height: 35 inches tall

c. Clothes size: 24m/2T exclusively. We’re in shorts/Capri season now so we can cheat with the length on her pants. J

d. Diaper size: Moving up to 6’s in both the regular and Overnights.

e. Hair color: Getting lighter with all the time she spends outside.

f. Anything else?

4. Milestones:

a. Teething: STILL working on the 2-year molars. Ugh. One or two may be poking through soon. I can see them just under the skin. Everything else is in.

b. Talking: She has quite the impressive vocabulary! She can say almost the entire alphabet and knows what sounds all the letters make.

i. New words: cheese, pink, bubble, chair, toast, knee, toes, hand, arm, Bert, Ernie, Grover, and Oscar.

c. Anything else? She is starting to be able to name colors. This girl is just plain wicked-smart. She can also sing along with “Twinkle Twinkle”. The words aren’t all right, but you can tell that’s what she’s trying to say. She’s also at the mimicry stage. We have to really be careful what we say and/or do around her because she’ll copy us. She has been having nightmares again more frequently. It seems like right now it’s about once a week. She knows what "booboos" are and wants us to kiss them better for her. And just today I saw her trying to jump. Jumping is the last of the major physical development milestones. She isn't quite getting both feet off the ground, but she's getting really close!

b. Books: She's really into the Biscuit books and Arthur lately.

c. Songs: 5 Little Speckled Frogs, If You’re Happy & You Know It, the Alphabet song, Twinkle Twinkle,

d. TV Shows/Movies: She loves her LeapFrog DVDs, Your Baby Can Read, and Sesame Street.

e. Other Activities: She loves to draw outside with chalk, go for walks in the stroller, and just generally spend time outside.

7. Sleeping: She still sleeps about 12 hours at night. Naps are still hit and miss.

8. Eating:

a. Favorite Foods: The girl is a cheese freak. She also loves chicken nuggets and most veggies/fruits.

b. Not so Favorites: We finally found a food she hates: black olives!

9. Nicknames: No new ones from last month.

Things we’re looking forward to next month: Nama’s birthday, Great-Grandma Ruby’s birthday, maybe visiting Nama & Grandpa at the cottage, and Daddy’s month-long vacation
