Weight Watchers Wednesday

Yep, it's already Wednesday again. I've been so busy lately that it seems the only posts I have are about my weight loss!

I jumped on the scale this morning and it told me I lost again this week! My total weight loss so far is now -6.8lbs. I'm this |<-->| close to my goal!!

It's not great, but I've been so busy that I haven't been very snacky or haven't had much time to eat much of a meal, so that's helped some. Plus I've been parking at the very end of  our parking lot at work and I've been toting around a ton of school books (around, up a thousand flights of stairs, etc).

Let me know if you are a WeightWatchers online participant and if you would like to follow me. I'll give you my information so you can find me! :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In other news, the holiday weekend is coming up. Adam and I are going away for the weekend on the motorcycle. We're heading down towards Madison to visit some small towns since we'll likely be moving down there in a few years. We're staying at the Naeset-Roe Inn Bed & Breakfast in Stoughton, WI. We'll also be visiting other towns such as: Oregon, Lake Mills, Cambridge, Deerfield, and possibly Sun Prairie. We're leaving Friday morning and coming back sometime Saturday afternoon. It'll be a lot of fun! The munchkin will be staying with Grammy while we're gone.

On Sunday evening we'll be making our way to Kellnersville, WI for our annual July 4th picnic at Simons' house. It's always a good time with good people and good food. This year we'll be skipping the fireworks as I'm pretty sure Clara won't enjoy them and it'll be way past her bedtime anyway. Adam doesn't particularly care for fireworks, either. Not a big deal. :)

I'm working Monday, which is great news since it'll be triple-time and I'll be making like $60/hour. Not too bad considering it'll be pretty dead quiet around here. :)

Other things coming up: Clara's 8-month birthday, my mid-terms for my 2 classes, my final appointment with the oral surgeon for my implant, and our first wedding anniversary!! That'll round out July! Not too busy of a summer, but certainly busy enough!

Weight-Watchers Wednesday

Today was my weigh-in for the week. I wasn't feeling overly confident that I'd lost much weight, but looking back at my points tracker, there were a few days I didn't use all my points. I've also been trying to snack less and I've been more active at work.

SO I jumped on the scale this morning. The first time it said ERROR. Nice. Ok, try again. It said 131.2!! That's 3.4lbs less than last week!! YES!! I'm .8lbs away from my goal weight. I can't be more excited! It makes me feel fantastic. :)

Weight-Loss Wednesday

Ok, I know it's Thursday, but I was busy doing algebra all day yesterday!

I don't remember if I did one last week, but last Wednesday I was down .2lbs and yesterday I was down another .6! So far since joining Weight Watchers I've lost 3lbs! I don't consider 3lbs in 4 weeks all that bad! I'm now just 4.5lbs short of my goal. I'm really excited and proud of myself!

I'm really in love with the Weight Watchers food products. The price isn't too bad and with their new bagged meals you get 30% more than the regular microwave meals. Yesterday I had the Ziti with Meatballs & Cheese and it was DELICIOUS! Right now they have an online coupon for $1 off. They also have ice cream cups and treats. I'm a sucker for ice cream so it's nice to know I've got options and they've got the points printed right on the package so no figuring involved!!

Lord, I Apologize....

(for those who got the Larry the Cable Guy reference, I'm sorry for that, too!) if what I'm about to say makes you faint. Ok, go ahead and sit down then-especially those of you who know me well.

Go ahead, I'll wait. :)

Ready? Ok. Some of you know I'm taking MAT105 (otherwise known as Intermediate Algebra) this summer. Some of you also know that I not only HATE math, but I stink at it. I'm only taking this class because it's a prerequisite for Statistics which is a requirement for my CJ degree. I'm currently about a week ahead in that class, which I like to do because I never know what's going to happen around here! Believe it or not (I still can't), but I'm not only starting to remember how to do this stuff, but I'm actually understanding it! My self-corrected second assignment isn't nearly as marked up as the first assignment! And some of the mistakes I made were stupid ones...if I only slowed down I would have caught it. I'm actually looking forward to doing my next assignment! Wow...I can't believe I just typed that! Haha.

Ok, on to other things. Our giant fence project got quite the start over the weekend. At the end of the day Sunday we had the posts and supports done on the west side and most of the cedar hedges down on the south side. I also completely weeded my flower beds in the front and got all the mulch down. I got the weeds pulled in the east side one in the back and the new border up and also got mulch in part of it. It was a hot weekend, even by our city's standards! Everyone got pretty cooked on Saturday.

I've been thinking maybe I'll try to do a WeightWatchers Wednesday post to keep up with my progress and maybe share some fun and low-point food ideas or recipes. We'll see how that goes. I've tried to do weekly posts before and failed. :) I am, however, on the computer more since I'm doing WeightWatchers Online, so who knows.

Tomorrow I'll be working on my Police Function class. I have a quiz to take for Lesson 2 and then I'm going to do the reading and assignments for Lesson 3 so I can stay ahead in that class, too. Only one paper to write the ENTIRE semester and it isn't due til the end of the semester! Now to figure out what I want to take in fall.....

I was soaring like an eagle!! Ended up more like Icarus.

So, as I've written before, I joined Weight Watchers about 2 weeks ago to FINALLY lose this last 10lbs or so that has been stubbornly hanging on. Last week, at my first "weigh in" (I do Online so I don't attend meetings) I was down 1.2lbs! Not too shabby! I was even more careful this last week because I was trying to save my PointsPlus points for Monday when I would be having delicious food cooked by my MIL, including a rhubarb pie...the first of the season! After all the garbage I ate Monday & Tuesday I thought for sure I would have gained. So I was ASTONISHED, to say the least, when I stepped on the scale this morning before getting dressed to find that I had LOST another one pound!! I have also noticed that while I haven't been losing a lot of weight, I have apparently been losing inches because my Old Navy jeans that I bought in a size 8 not too long ago are big and my belt is on the last notch and still too big! Guess I might have to go jeans shopping! I even got a compliment from a girl at work! This is the "soaring like an eagle" part.

As some of you know we're putting up a fence in our backyard for our puppy. Adam and his dad got us a good deal on the materials. Bonus!! I called Digger's Hotline and WPS was out right away Tuesday morning. Yay! So yesterday we went to City Hall to see what we needed permit-wise and what the rules for building a fence are. We also found out that they had not done the marking for utilities because apparently some squirrel decided to fry himself and it made a lot of work for everyone. Turns out we didn't need a permit and none of the rules were anything we had to worry about....but let's check on easements. *screeching brakes sound* So they pull out the map. Oh look, here's two 6 foot easements. Oh goody. Ok, well not a big deal if there's nothing major in them. Otherwise we'll have to build the fence 6' off our lot line. Have you any idea how much square footage of our yard we'd lose?!?!?!? Anyway, they came to mark the stuff today. Cable-check. No big deal. Yay! Utilities-south side of the yard is fine. Yay! West side-not so much. Now we're waiting on yet another phone call to figure out what to do about it. Number 1 it's hard to deal with this from work. Number 2 I didn't have any idea it would be this big a deal to build a stupid fence!! As ugly as they are I almost wish we had overhead powerlines!

We were going to start working on the fence Friday, but now we're not sure that's going to happen. We're having a meeting of the minds tonight to figure it out. I've already got a major headache from dealing with this and crap at work. Good thing I've got wine at home.

So now all the wax has melted and I'm losing altitude.....

Stupid sun.
