Monthly Survey

1.       How old is baby? 1 month!

2.       Doctor’s appointments?: The next one is scheduled for May 29^th, 2012

3.       Stats:

a.       Weight: 8lbs 7oz (at 3 weeks 1 day old)

b.      Height: 22 inches

c.       Clothes size: He’s still in some NB, but also wears some 0-3 mnth clothes

d.      Diaper size: Still in NB

e.      Hair color: Brown

f.        Eyes: Blue, seems like getting lighter

g.       Anything else?

4.       Milestones:

a.       Teething: Nope.

b.      Verbal skills: He grunts a lot, but that's mostly gas. :)

c.       Rolling: Nope.

d.      Sitting Up: Nope.

e.      Crawling: He likes to try to army crawl during tummy time. lol

f.        Walking: Nope.

g.       Anything else? He’s starting to be awake more during the day and he’s having some spontaneous smiles. I can’t wait for the social ones!

5.       Things he likes:

a.       Toys: We’re not really doing toys yet. He has some on his bouncy chair, but I don’t know that he can see those yet.

b.      Books: He gets lots of stories read since Clara still likes to read. He just joins in now.

c.       Songs: I haven’t sung anything to him yet.

d.      TV Shows: He doesn’t even notice the TV, even though it’s on a lot.

e.      Other activities: We’re doing tummy time already. I’d like to do it more, it’s just that Clara running around makes me really nervous!

6.       Things he dislikes: Sometimes he hates being put down, other times he’s fine.

7.       Sleeping: He was sleeping well for the first 2 weeks, but it’s been getting to be hit and miss at night. 2am seems to be the witching hour. He’ll wake up for his 2am feeding and want to be up until 4.

8.       Eating: Still just on breast milk, but he’s eating up to 4oz for feedings. He eats every 2 hours during the day and anywhere from 2-4 hours at night.

9.       Nicknames: Bubba, little man, Sam I Am, Captain Shortbeard or Shortbeard the Pirate Captain

10.   Things we’re looking forward to next month: His next check-up. I can’t wait to see how much he changes in the next month! We also have Brayden’s baptism at the end of the month.

11.   How I like motherhood: It’s still the best thing ever. The days are even more challenging with the addition of Sam, but we figure it out as we go.

a.       Likes: Watching Clara love on her brother.

b.      Dislikes: With Sam having gas issues it’s hard when there’s nothing I can really do for him.
